The ksuaa is responsible for the operations of 18 sports including: football, baseball, men's and women's cross country, men's and women's indoor and outdoor track and field, women's volleyball, softball, women's soccer, and women's lacrosse. The ksuaa is responsible for the functions of these teams related to team travel, game day operations, field maintenance, recruiting, apparel, equipment, scholarship and insurance to name a few of the major tasks. Certified athletics trainers perform sports medicine services for our athletes. The athletics trainers are healthcare professionals who collaborate with physicians to optimize activity and participation of patients and clients. Athletics training encompasses the prevention, diagnosis and intervention of emergency, acute and chronic medical conditions.
