Advantage health/saint mary's medical group ("ah/SMMG"), dba trinity health medical group, is a multi-specialty physician network that employs more than 800 physicians and advanced practice professionals in the grand rapids market. During the fiscal year 2024, more than 576,000 outpatient visits were handled by ah/SMMG providers. Additionally, ah/SMMG provides essential physician services to trinity health grand rapids hospital (a michigan 501(c)(3) hospital). Ah/SMMG's physician employees work in hospital clinics to provide charity care to the uninsured. Ah/SMMG participates in medicare and medicaid plans and operates under a charity care policy that makes ah/SMMG's services available to individuals who do not have insurance or medicaid coverage and are unable to pay for medical services.
