mission statement

The free to be foundation, INC. ("ftbthe "foundation") was incorporated in the state of new york on may 9, 1973 and is a supporting organization of MS. Foundation for women, INC. ("MFW"). The stated purpose of FTB, in conjunction with MFW, is to: (1) prevent violence, and protect the right of women, children, gay, lesbian, bi-sexual and transgendered individuals to live in violence-free homes and communities. (2) promote education of the public through programs designed to shift cultural beliefs that perpetuate inequality and exclusion.
