To oversee and administer various drug and alcohol prevention, intervention, and treatment programs, as well as tobacco prevention and enforcement programs in berks county (see schedule o for details of accomplishments).funding from the council allowed the following activities to occur during fiscal year ended june 30, 2024:*there were 196 calls into the 24/7 drug and alcohol hotline.*1,269 unduplicated clients received treatment services.*824 individuals served in warm hand off program.*218 individuals who resided in the council-funded recovery houses received recovery support services.*637 berks county jail inmates were screened for drug and alcohol problems.*a total of 25,095 urine specimens were tested.*7,841 opioid overdose kits distributed*prevention education: 1,767 students reached for teens and technology education*92 vaping presentation for youth were provided reaching 2,316 students.*1,012 students received student assistance program assessments were completed.
