Annual meeting: the annual meeting provides a venue for members and invited guests to present the best brain and behavior research in the world. It is designed to encourage dialogue, discussion and debate among attendees. The 2024 meeting had 2,272 scientific attendees. This was a hybrid meeting. Eighty-five percent of the attendees completing the meeting evaluation rated the acnp meeting as "better than most"clearly superior" to other meetings they attend.

Publications: this program publishes a monthly journal, neuropsychopharmacology, as well as an annual supplement, neuropsychopharmacology reviews. There is also an open access journal covering research that involves the use of digital technologies. These publications continue to extend the mission of the college to disseminate scientific advances in the field. The journal's impact factor in 2023 was 7.1, ranking 15 out of 288 in psychiatry, 23 out of 352 in pharmacology, and 27 out of 314 in neuroscience. The journal is one of the most widely read scientific journals in the world.

Travel awards: this program seeks to encourage and mentor young scientists in the field, as well as minority participation. In 2024, the program selected 68 travel awardees to the annual meeting.
