We bring familes closer together, encourage good health and foster connections through fitness, sports, fun and shared interests. We help individuals and families build and maintain healthy habits in spirit, mind and body in their everyday lives. By helping kids, adults, seniors and families improve their health and well-being, we build a stronger community every day. Health and wellness programs, chronic disease prevention, management and opportunities for individuals to participate in group and personal health activities are available. Through membership for all financial assistance, all individuals are provided the opportunity to lead healthy lives and reach their full potential.

Across the country, the y helps people give back and assist their neighbors by offering them opportunities to volunteer, advocate and support programs that strengthen community. The gateway family YMCA provides emergency, transitional and supportive housing for individuals, families and veterans who are facing homelessness or housing insecurity. YMCA residential housing programs provide wrap-around services and resources to meet immediate needs and support mental health, with the goal of self-sufficiency and independence. Working with local agencies, the YMCA provides 24-hour intake and referral assistance, ensuring all individuals and families are met with supportive staff and a coordinated approach to housing placement and referrals.

YMCA aquatics the gateway family YMCA provides life-saving drowning-prevention programming including safety around water and YMCA swimming lessons for all ages and abilities. Financial assistance is available to support all families in the communities served. YMCA aquatics programs improve health through the encouragement of lifelong regular exercise and promote teamwork while building self-confidence and leadership skills. YMCA aquatics also includes lifeguard training and competitive swim team programs, providing a pathway to employment and leadership, as well as positive role models and mentors for our teens. Water exercise, recreational swimming and aquatic therapy assist seniors, individuals with physical challenges and those who may otherwise be unable to exercise in a traditional manner, providing healthy opportunity for all.

Wise community services wellness, independence, and socialization for our elders (w.i.s.e.) community services assists older adults and those diagnosed with alzheimer's, dementia, cognitive impairments, and/or funcitional and physical challenges maintain independence and improve their quality of life. The goal is to keep participants and their caregivers as physically, cognitively, and emotionally well as possible so they avoid unnecessary institutionalization. Wise community services impacts the lives of individuals with physical challenges and memory impairment, their caregivers and families through a supportive environment with dedicated staff and specialized programming.
