United way of spencer provided funding to over twenty local non-profit organizations allowing, among other things, high risk children to receive daycare, the local red cross office to assist in crises, the domestic violence office to assist battered wives, the meals on wheels program to feed the elderly, the girls and boys club to positively impact children and help fund local humane society.
