Children's advocacy centers of pennsylvania (cacs of pa) supports the development, growth, and sustainability of children's advocacy centers across the state. We provide extensive training, technical assistance, mentoring, networking opportunities, and peer review to ensure that all children in pennsylvania have timely access to the full range of cac services in the county where they reside. Children's advocacy centers (cacs) deliver a child-focused, evidence-based, and trauma-informed response to child abuse in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of professionals who intervene when abuse is reported. This team includes law enforcement, child welfare, prosecution, victim advocacy, and medical and mental health professionals.cacs of pa offers in-depth training for cac staff and multidisciplinary team (MDT) members to ensure compliance with national accreditation standards. Training topics include forensic interviewing, victim advocacy, medical evaluations, mental health and therapeutic services, MDT case review, case tracking, prevention, and cac administration.we also work closely with unserved counties to develop new cacs and provide consultation to existing centers on a wide range of topics to ensure they meet national standards. Our work is data-informed, using statewide client service numbers, and we track feedback and outcomes from the training and technical assistance we provide.
