Abingdon Physician Partners (APP) was created to augment Johnston Memorial Hospital's exempt purpose of responding to the healthcare needs of individuals and communities in its service area. To promote the general health and welfare of the communities served, the corporation has more than 10 primary care, general surgery, orthopedic, gynecology, and oncology clinics.Multiple APP clinics also serve as outpatient teaching locations for family medicine and internal medicine residency programs.
