To provide tuition scholarship assistance through the scholarship of hope to employees of kindred healthcare, LLC, its subsidiaries and affiliated companies that are black, indigenous, or people of color, which includes all ethnic minority groups. In 2024, the scholarship of hope provided tuition assistance to 23 employees.

The hope fund provided monetary assistance to kindred employees experiencing financial hardship due to a catastrophic life event. As of october 1, 2023 the hope fund is managed by the community foundation of middle tenneseee. The grant expenditures reported represent the final transactions for this program when managed by the foundation.
