In April 2018, Baseballtown Charities completed the construction of the Dream League field to give those with physical and mental disabilities the same chance to enjoy the game of baseball as those able-bodied players every day across the country. Traditional baseball fields are not designed for those with special needs. The Dream League is a custom-designed turf field that accommodates wheelchairs and other assistive devices while helping to prevent injuries. The spirit of the Dream League allows developmentally-challenged children to thrive, without the competitive burdens of traditional teams and leagues. This is a volunteer labor of love, and working with these kids is a life-changing experience.

In December 2018, Baseballtown Charities undertook a new challenge to help individuals showing promise in the sports of baseball and softball improve their skills. Rip It for Life selects kids that may not have the economic wherewithal to get top notch baseball and softball training. We identify players who have the desire to be better, but would not otherwise have access to the type of instructors and facilities that Rip It for Life can provide. We give these players a chance to be better, on the field and off. And off the field, Rip It for Life can provide an additional shoulder to lean on when necessary. Rip It for Life believe socio-economic challenges should not be an impediment to their journey to be better players and better people.

Started a program in 2021 in field renovation to assist children's baseball leagues in getting their fields in shape to play baseball. Part of our commitment was setting them up with a professional turf management company for renovation and volunteers to assist in the clean up and renovation, working with the professional groundskeeper for the local AA Minor League Baseball team in getting the fields ready for play.
