We work directly in new york and in partnership with advocates in other states to secure reproductive freedom. By building power in cities and states across the country, supporting advocates and policymakers who are working to protect and expand our freedoms, and educating and engaging the public, we seek to pass proactive policies and ensure they are enforced. In 2023, we focused our efforts on expanding access to abortion and contraceptionincluding through passage of policies expanding coverage for abortion care, such as municipal and state fundingas well working to secure birth justice and to expand access to comprehensive sex education. To support these efforts, we worked directly with legislators and other policymakers, engaged members of the public (including by facilitating efforts to speak with their legislators on these issues), trained advocates and policymakers, created tools and resources for use by advocates, and did media outreach.
