Youville House follows the methodology that is recommended by the Catholic Health Association for calculating the cost of support for the broader community. In the methodology, the cost of providing services is reduced by payments received for services resulting in a net cost. It is the net cost of programs directed to the needy compared to the actual reimbursement for those services. Youville House had a total community benefit of $684,417 of which $622,474 were rents subsidized by the Organization. These figures are 10.16% and 9.24% of operating expenses for the year of this return, respectively.
