The primary purpose of the corporation is:1. To acquire, own, develop, construct, sponsor, manage, improve and to make available housing at the lowest possible cost to low and moderate income families and persons of every race, religion and nationality in the united states ("area") and to stimulate, by example or otherwise, the renovation and improvement of properties in such area. 2. To provide capital for affordable housing and related community development activities by arranging investments in nonprofit sponsored housing and community development projects consistent with the corporation's charitable and tax-exempt purposes.
