By tapping the community's expertise and resources, we efficiently and effectively reach people in immediate need and solve problems for the long term. We target issues at the heart of a healthy community and our efforts are focused on broad areas of impact including: early education and lifelong opportunities for learning; physical and mental health; economic stability and community wellness.

Granite united way manages NH 2-1-1 to promote the health and well being of all new hampshire residents by supporting a comprehensive statewide information and referral (i&r) system that removes barriers to access health and human services. This statewide i&r service is accessible by phone by dialing 2-1-1, any time, any day, and through a searchable database (WWW.211nh.org) on the web guaranteeing universal accessibility.

In partnership with the state of NH and the governor's office, granite united way administers the recovery friendly workplace initiative. The recovery friendly workplace initiative promotes individual wellness for granite staters by empowering workplaces to provide support for people recovering from substance use disorder. The recovery friendly workplace initiative gives business owners the resources and support they need to foster a supportive environment that encourages the success of their employees in recovery. Over 400 businesses in NH are designated RFWS.
